Four family members burn to death in Osun

OSOGBO — Residents of Kajola-Ijesha in Atakumosa West Local Government Area of Osun State were thrown into  mourning following the death of four members of a family who were burnt to death in a mid night inferno that razed their house, Monday night.
Those who lost their lives were the father, mother and two of their children, while two other children who went for night prayers escaped.
Property,  including furniture, electronics, cooking utensils and other household materials were burnt in the inferno.
An officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, who preferred anonymity, said the fire was caused  as a result of power surge, stressing that the entire house was affected.
The NSCDC member said: “We have been to the scene and found out that the incident happened as a result of the return of power to the house by the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN. There was no light when the family slept but the high voltage power came at midnight and caused the incident.”
It was learnt that the two children who escaped the fire incident were at a vigil, and encouraged other members of the family to attend the prayer programme but they declined.
The state’s Deputy Governor, Mrs. Grace Laoye-Tomori, who visited the scene of the incident expressed shock and concern at the death of the four family members, promising that the state government would take care of the remaining two children.
Tomori who gave some undisclosed amount to the eldest child of the deceased parents admonished the residents of Kajola to be vigilant.

A LONELY PLACE

Yesterday, i met an old friend of mine. It's been four years or more since i last saw her. It was nobody's fault. Somehow, we lost contact which is what always happen i life. All of sudden, you are sitting there on a sunday morning, drinking coffee and thinking "I wonder what happened to so and so" and then you find them on facebook. Apparently, they have been there all along.
It makes  me sad to think of all the wonderfulpeople i have met in life and lost just because i never made enough too effort to find them. Most times, you take numbers, email addresses and you promise to reach each other,"we will keep    n touch and then you never do.All that is left will be the memory f someone who could have been a very good friend. How many of such people have i lost in life? It's unbelieveable when i think about it. I constantly meet all kinds of people on busses, taxis, bookshops, libraries, concerts and of course the internet. You meet a kindred spirit and think "wow! There are more like me out there, the world is not sure a lonely place after all!" and then of course, you never become real friends and the world becomes a lonely place again.
Most of the time prides comes in our way.We have probably tried a couple of times to get in touch. We perhaps called or emailed and never received a satisfactory response and then we get angry and say "if he/she does not call me back, then i am not going to call again!" and that is whereit will probably die. We forget that the other person is probably as insecure as we are, who knows what life situations people face in thier daily lives? who knows who knows if right at that moment they are in the hospital or taking a shit in the middle of the desert? we don't know these things. Nobody sits by thier phones all they waiting for you to call (except you are a love struck teenager), life is happening every single second.
Recently i met someone i thought could be a friend. I did my part, i called, i sent texts, i invited him out a couple of times but something always gets in the way. I could feel that old resentment building up, "why am i always the one trying ?" Anyway i thought i have done my part and could not do more for the matter. I was ready to throw in the towel and erase him from my list of potential friends. However when i thought about it "what exactly was i been mad about?"
The feeling of rejection. Ah! Human beings do insane hings when they are feel rejected. All of a sudden the person that never answer your call becomes a mortal enemy. It's a sick thing, but back to the topic. No need to attach emotion crazy emotions behind every simple task in life. There is no need to be afraid of rejection or whatever other feelings that might arise when someone does not return your calls or show as much enthusiasm for a friendship as much as you do. It does not make you the weaker person but, instead look at yourself as the the stronger person for being the one that constantly strieves for the beauty of life . Friendship is part of what makes life beautiful and wonderful. Without friendship, the world can be a very lonely place.
Do not be shy about getting in touch with your friends even i you have not hear from them in years. Life is too short to not have meaningul friendships. Get on facebook, pick up your phone, write a letter, do whatever but find that long lost friend. I promise you, it will be worth the effort.

French Train Derailment Predicted By T B Joshua

As news hit international media on Friday 12th July 2013 that at least six people had
died in a tragic train derailment in France, a YouTube video has been released stating
that the accident was predicted many months earlier by a Nigerian tele-evangelist.

“I see a train in a French-speaking nation running off the rail,” were the exact words of the
controversial Nigerian cleric T.B. Joshua.

The pastor of the Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) which is based in Lagos, is
also claimed to have predicted other events that eventually came to pass. These include the
death of former Malawi President Bingu wa Mutharika last year and Nigeria’s national football
team’s recent victory at the African Cup of Nations.

In the current prediction broadcast live via The SCOAN’s religious television station Emmanuel TV,
T.B Joshua is said to have told his congregation on Sunday 13th May 2012 that he saw a train derailing in
a French-speaking country.

He further said that countries being prophesied to ought to liaise with his ministry to seek for clarifications on such volatile issues that would involve loss of human lives with a view to averting such catastrophe.

Coincidentally, the international media is reporting that at least seven people were killed and scores of
others were injured Friday when the train carrying 370 people derailed in Bretigny-sur-Orge, just south of Paris. President Francois Hollande is said to have arrived on the scene Friday evening.

It was still unknown what caused the derailment of the regional train that left the Paris Austerlitz station Friday afternoon, said Guillaume Pepy, president of SNCF, the French national railway company. Experts have begun an investigation at the scene and fire fighters battled for several hours to rescue victims trapped inside.

Pastor Joshua, touted as one of Africa’s 50 most influential figures, is reportedly friends with political leaders such as Zimbabwean Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangarai and Malawian president Joyce Banda, who have visited his church in Nigeria for spiritual assistance.

He recently received commendation from the International Labour Organisation (ILO), a United Nations Agency, and the MBA Tour, an international event linking prospective students with top level educational institutions, for his extensive charitable projects, especially relating to job creation and skills development for young people.

Iyanya: Wizkid inspires me

From all indications, first winner of the popular annual reality show, MTN Project Fame, Inyanya, would be older than sensational pop star, Wizkid, but the former has disclosed that he got inspired by the latter to keep his head high in the music industry and achieved the success he has today.

Wizkid gained fame with his 'Holla At Ur Boy' song, which introduced him to the consciousness of many people. Soon after, he became a household name and started headlining big shows in and outside the country.

For Iyanya, just when many thought he would become a household name in Nigeria after he won the maiden edition of the MTN sponsored music talent show, the Calabar-born singer struggled for few years until
luck smiled at him and he burst into fame with his hit track 'Kukere'.

Speaking recently on a TV show, the singer disclosed that Wizkid inspired him in the music industry.

He explained that when he thought of giving up because of the cold reception for his RnB single
entitled 'True Love,' which he released after winning the competition, the success Wizkid's 'Holla
At Ur Boy' made and the subsequent singles released by the 23-year-old made him to say to
himself that if
Wizkid could do it, he could, which gave rise to his 'Kukere' hit track.

CHRIS Rock‘s marriage has reportedly hit the skids!

CHRIS Rock‘s marriage has reportedly hit the skids!
According to a new report, the actor and his wife, Malaak Compton-Rock,
have called it quits!
The shocking news surfaced in late June when Chris’s brother Tony Rock made
light of the situation during a performance at the Hollywood Improv Comedy Club.
“Tony poked fun at his brother’s divorce during one of his acts,” an audience member
 tells Star.
“He said, ‘I’m not supposed to tell y’all this, but Chris is getting a divorce. I’m so happy
because now we can get p*ssy together. I didn’t like her anyway.’”
Sources say Rock, 48, grew tired of having to answer to 44-year-old Malaak.
“There have been many arguments behind closed doors… Malaak is very controlling
and demanding.”
